Programme 1-A

                                          One day private trip from Cairo to Cairo

We start our trip early morning from Cairo-South West towards Fayoum Oasis.

-Drive off the road from Cairo and all the way to the North Shore of Caroun Lake.

-Visit Kasr el Sagha Temple.
Dedicated to the God Sobic Crocodile, which lies underneath, Qatrani Mountain.

( one of the most interesting mountains in the entire Western deserts, a 350 meters high, and stone mountain, not only is it a major land mark for travelers in the Northern desert, fossils)

-Drive up the escarpment towards the Font Caves of Abulifa, founded by St.Panoukhias, the Monastery was in use from the 4th to the 7th centuries AD and was
A haven of Christians during troubled times.
Fayoum legend relates that there is buried treasure at this Monastery.

-Climb up the caves, and enjoy the great panoramic view of the whole surrounding landscapes, strata and the lake from the top.

-Picnic Lunch

-We continue our tour south towards the lake, to visit Dimeh-el-Siba- Dimeh of the lions, was a Ptolemic city believed to be founded by Ptolemy II in the third century B.C.

-Start our drive back east, before reaching the farms on the desert edge.

-Drive across the Green fields of the Oasis until reaching the paved road heading back to Cairo.

-Cruise along the asphalt road heading to Cairo.

                                              Arrive in Cairo around 6:00 pm
